		<description>One of the simplest document editors - Abiword - which is free/opensource too has the facility of collaborative editing a document on a LAN environment using TCP/IP.  One can share a document for collaborative editing from the &quot;Collaborate&quot; menu.  the shared document can be accessed by any user who is on the LAN and using Abiword. I think OpenOffice in on the way to integrating collaborative editing in the suite.</description>
