We have got a suggestion to make Migration Tools for collaber to be used to migrate from & to Groove. We hope as the both softwares are designed with similar structure, it wont be much problem to transport the data from one software to another software.
We really cont say when we will be able to release these tools, as we have lot of pending work to do.
But of course our priority will only dependent on the user requests.

Another request I saw recently is…
>Is there a way to chat in real time with just one contact?? withouth being sending those one way messages (like mini emails?)?
In Groove there is no way to do it, unless we create a workspace and invite that contact to it.
In Collaber we will be providing Message Filter extention point which can be used to develop such functionality. To develop above requirement the developer only have to check for a predefined pattern in the message subject and prevent it from being processed by normal collaber core. Then he is free to display it in any form he chooses. Developers can use this functionality to develop plugins for chatting, games etc.

Today while reading groove news groups I saw a post as follows..
> I am playing around with Groove and have a folder the has about 3GB if files. I do not need to sync all files in this folder but would only want to sync files from the past month. How can I do this?
That is very nice requirement. As far as I know groove do not support such customization.
We have decided to provide this functionality to the user. We will be providing an Extention Point for Filters to be added which can change the behaviour of File Syncronization. We will not be developing any such Filters by default.
But any java programmer with sufficient knowledge about extention points and eclipse can make such filter to do the above task. Not only this, they are free to change the behaviour in their required order.

We are working around 14 hours a day to complete the new version of collaber. We have received encouraging response from the developer community. We will work hard to live up to the expectations.
The good news is we have completed the development of “Collaber Relay Server“. It is not yet optimized for performance. Even then according to our tests it can support around 3000 connections at a time with proper RAM and processor configuration.
As all our software is written in JAVA there are no platform and OS restrictions associated with Collaber Relay Server. We will host the default relay server for those who will be buying “Collaber Live” version.
Enterprise version of Collaber Relay Server can be purchased from us once it is released.
Presently We are working on modifications to Collaber Software to support the new relay server functionality. And making very good progress every day.
